Artificial intelligence for teenagers

Understanding AI tools, their possibilities, limits and responsible use.

Activity images — Artificial intelligence for teenagers
The artificial intelligence workshop for teenagers aimed to introduce this technology in a practical, accessible and responsible way.
Participants discovered what artificial intelligence is, the areas in which it is used, how it can process text, images and sound, and what its main limitations are.
The workshop did not seek to exaggerate the capabilities of artificial intelligence or present it as a perfect technology.
The young participants learned that these tools can produce useful results, but may also generate false, incomplete or biased information.
They were introduced to several practical uses.
They learned how to write a clear prompt, generate an idea, improve a text, create an image and analyse a response.
Each exercise was accompanied by a discussion about the importance of checking the information and results produced by these tools.
A central part of the training focused on data protection and privacy.
The teenagers learned not to share personal data, confidential information or sensitive photographs with digital tools and platforms.
The workshop also addressed data collection, cyberbullying, identity theft, fake images, deepfakes, manipulation, cheating and excessive dependence on digital tools.
Case studies and practical scenarios were also presented.
Participants were invited to consider questions such as: What is the right behaviour in this situation? How can misleading content be recognised? How should someone react to an image that may have been falsified?
The objective was to educate informed users who are able to benefit from the possibilities of artificial intelligence without giving up their own independent thinking.
The young participants were encouraged to use these tools to learn, create and develop ideas, while respecting others and maintaining a critical perspective.
