The digital and computer skills workshops aim to help participants use computers, the Internet, smartphones and digital tools in a practical, progressive and secure way.
Today, many everyday procedures are carried out through digital platforms.
These may include booking an appointment, tracking an application or case, sending an email, submitting a document, creating an account, installing an application or communicating with a public authority.
Digital skills have therefore become essential in everyday life.
The workshops may begin with the simplest basics, such as turning on a computer, using a mouse, working with a keyboard, opening a file, writing a text, creating a folder or browsing the Internet.
Participants may then learn more advanced tasks, such as preparing a CV, writing a letter, using an email address, attaching a file, downloading a document, using word-processing software, taking part in a video conference or protecting an account with a secure password.
Explanations are provided step by step, at a calm and accessible pace.
This method is particularly suitable for people who have never used a computer, have limited experience or feel anxious about using digital tools.
The objective is not to complete every procedure on behalf of the participant, but to help them understand the steps so that they can gradually carry them out independently.
The workshops also address digital risks, such as fraudulent messages, suspicious links, data theft, fake websites, weak passwords and the careless sharing of personal information.
Sessions may also include using a smartphone, organising photos, installing applications, using maps, translation tools, the camera and online public services.
The aim is to strengthen digital independence, reduce dependence on others and create a space where everyone can ask questions without embarrassment or pressure.
